It not only helps your site visitors but also benefits you.
WordPress has two options for organizing content. You can use tags and categories as an analogy to the Table of Contents in a book. Tags are used as the Index. You can use them in any way you want.
Add a category in WordPress
Categories make it easy to organize and search for posts on your website. Click on the sidebar and select Categories.
Give your category name to make it stand out on your site. WordPress can assign one to you.
Add parent and/or subcategories to further organize the content. Each category can have a description so you know what it is for.
Click on Save. Make any modifications to your categories by clicking the Edit button.
Add tags to WordPress
Tags are similar to category tags. They help organize posts and give searchable keywords that make it easy for people to find them.
Go to Edit Post, then click on the Tag Box. You can put more tags together by using commas.
After you are done click on Publish and your tag will be published. You will be taken to the other posts where you have used these tags.
Click on Posts to bulk add tags. Then click on Tag. These are the steps for creating a new category.

Allow Displaying content on category and tag pages
This can be done in many different ways. These are our top choices in order of simplicity.
Choice 1: Via the Theme Setting
You can enable archive page content in many themes. StudioPress’s Genesis theme framework allows you to have this content built in.
Before you do anything, make sure to check your theme settings. You can also go to Posts->Categories->Edit and add content.
Protip – WordPress has a description field that some themes use for pulling on-page content. Check to make sure there’s nothing on your category pages.
You don’t have to use this setting in Genesis. You can use it in other themes as well.
Option 2: Via plugin
WordPress plugins can be installed quickly.
Option 3: Via Category.
You don’t need to be afraid of messing with PHP. To allow the content of your archive.php file into the default description, you can add one or two lines to it.
